FORBES AND GOLF

Can golf save your life?
To the world famous Scottish Golf courses

The Clan Rattray and Clan Forbes have close ties dating back to 1745 and the Battle of Culloden when Dr. John Rattray was the personal physician of Bonnie Prince Charlie. The English captured Rattray and planned to execute him but Lord President Forbes (who played both sides of the fence, Scottish and English) interceded and Rattray's life was spared. Seems like Rattray and Forbes were golfing buddies and wanted to continue to play golf together.

Rattray also penned the first rules of golf which are prominently displayed in most major golf courses around the world.
